When architect Lina Bo Bardi designed the building that currently is the headquarter of São Paulo Art Museum, she obeyed a request from the land donator: the views to the City Center and to Cantareira Hills should be kept. And thus she had the idea of a 243 feet wide building supported by four columns only.
